1. Paramount Concern for God's Glory-
Our highest priority in ministry is God's glory. We want everything we do to honor Him and to reflect His character and power to the world. Since our church belongs to Christ, we will strive to submit to His Word, the Bible, in everything. Since God is great and does all things well, we will strive to maintain a high standard of excellence in all that we do. Our highest ambition is to please God and to represent Him faithfully. (Mark 7:37; I Corinthians 10:31; 2 Corinthians 5:9, 20; Ephesians 3:21; Colossians 3:23-24).
2. Expository Bible Teaching & Preaching-
We believe in the absolute sufficiency of God's Word to make people wise unto salvation and to equip them for every good work. Therefore, we are uncompromisingly committed to sound expository (verse by verse) Bible teaching and preaching as our primary means of promoting Christ-like maturity (Psalm 1:1-3, 19:7-11; Isaiah 55:8-11; Matthew 4:4; Acts 20:32; 2 Timothy 3:14-17; 4:1-2).
3. Authentic Worship-
Since we cannot begin to calculate His worth, His preciousness, or the measure of His grace and surpassing goodness toward us, worshipping our Lord is at the center of all that we do. It is our constant aim to exalt Jesus Christ in our music, our preaching, and in our conversations (Colossians 3:16-17; Hebrews 13:15).
4. Personal Holiness-
Since Jesus died to make us holy, we will emphasize the importance of holy living and we will show the proper concern when a professing Christian in our fellowship drifts into a pattern of sin. We will humbly and lovingly follow Biblical principles to restore them to a right relationship with God and to protect the unity and testimony of our church (Matthew 18:15-17; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Galatians 6:1; 1 Timothy 5:19-21; Ephesians 5:25-27; Titus 3:10-11; I Peter 1:14-16).
5. Godly Leadership-
Christ is the Head of our Church and He mediates His rule in the church through a plurality of biblically qualified men. These elders have no authority of their own, but that which they receive from Christ, and their authority is defined and limited by the Scriptures. These men are to shepherd God’s flock, and to set an example for believers (Ephesians 1:22; 4:15; 1 Thessalonians 5:12-14; Hebrews 13:7, 17; 1 Peter 5:1-5).
6. Active Church Members Using Their Spiritual Gifts-
Believing that God has uniquely gifted every Christian for active participation in the ministry of the church, we encourage every Christian to discover his or her spiritual gift(s) and to become equipped for works of service (I Corinthians 12:4-7; Ephesians 4:11-16).
7. Genuine Fellowship-
We want to be a church that consistently models Biblical fellowship.
Biblical fellowship involves demonstrating Christ’s love to one another.
We want to consistently be caring for one another, meeting each other’s needs, and considering how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds (John 13:35; Romans 15:1-6; Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:24).
8. Sincere Love and Concern for Lost People-
We will use every available Christ-honoring means to reach the people with the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. We will train our church members to be effective witnesses. We will strive to minister in a way that relates to our culture without compromising our commitment to holiness or to the authority and sufficiency of the Scriptures. Furthermore, we will work regularly and give generously to support domestic and international missionary efforts (Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 9:22, 10:33; 1 Timothy 1:15; 1 Peter 3:15; Jude 22-23)
9. Devotion to the Family-
We will do all that we can to strengthen marriages and families and to protect them from the destructive pressures of our culture. We will strive to make our church a safe place where children and young people are taught to understand God’s Word (Philippians 2:15; 2 Timothy 1:5).
10. Earnest Intercession-
Believing that our Heavenly Father desires to answer the prayers of His children, we encourage both our members and our leaders to intercede on behalf of this ministry and to rely upon prayer in the conception, planning and execution of its ministries (Matthew 7:7-11; 1 Thessalonians 5:17).
11. Expansive Dreams for God's Glory-
Since God is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, we should never stop humbly dreaming great dreams and making bold plans to reflect His glory to the world (Psalm 19:1; John 14:12; Ephesians 3:20; 1 Peter 2:9).
